RIME workshop offered next week for medical faculty development

A faculty development workshop focused on working with the RIME (reporter, interpreter, manager/educator) format for educational progression will be offered Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, in room 316 of South Campus Center.

Sponsored by the School of Medicine’s Department of Medical Education and Biomedical Informatics, the workshop is appropriate for faculty, fellows and chief residents who teach and want to fine-tune their evaluation and feedback skills.

Content will include understanding the RIME format and developing the skills necessary to provide explicit, stage-specific feedback to learners.

Dr. C. Scott Smith, director of the NW Regional Faculty Development Center at the Boise VA Medical Center, and Dr. Mark Servis, vice chair for education at the University of California, Davis, Department of Psychiatry, are the principal faculty members.
