Oh say, can you taste?

Sean Kassim, a senior fellow in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care, hands out tasting strips to find out which people are able to detect certain harmless substances — the ability to detect some tastes is genetically determined — at the UW Medicine booth for the South Lake Union Block Party, held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16 and 17. Many of the UW Medicine programs at the 815 Mercer building there participated.
