Bike safety featured at HUB on Oct. 7
Campus bike riders alert: The UW Transportation Office will offer tips on bike safety on the HUB lawn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7. Up-to-date information on campus bicycle regulations will be offered as well as campus maps and information about bike helmet and light discounts through the U-PASS. Bikes also will be registered, which can help the UW Police find them if they’re stolen.

Gulf mail suspended 
The UW’s Publications Services Department has announced that due to a federal suspension of mail to and from some Gulf areas, UW mail also will be suspended in those areas.
