AIDS and STD research symposium set for Nov. 21

The UW Center for AIDS and STD will hold a research symposium from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in the Research & Training Building Auditorium at Harborview Medical Center.

Dr. Eric Buhi, director of the Collaborative for Research in Sexual Health at the University of South Florida’s College of Public Health, will deliver the keynote talk on “Characteristics of Young People Who Use the Internet to Find Sex Partners: Implications for STD and HIV Prevention.”

Attendees will also hear from guest speakers Dr. Elizabeth Bukusi, Kenya Medical Research Institute, and Dr. Helen Horton, Seattle Biomedical Research Institute.
