Submit your photo to UWeek and win
Do you have some good photos of the UW campus, or activities taking place there? Of course you do. Since we launched our Community Photos feature last fall, we’ve received many contributions from our readers, ranging from flowers on our grounds to open houses our people have held to our police officers volunteering in the community.
We’ve been so impressed that now we want to offer a reward for new photos — three rewards, in fact. Announcing the first ever University Week photo contest. Submit your photos and they’ll be judged by professional photographers, with a new winner each week for three weeks. The awards, which have been generously donated by our advertisers, are:
Photos submitted to us lately have been concentrating on the scenery, which is great, but don’t forget that people and activities can make good photos too. If you’re shooting at a public location, it’s okay to include people without their permission (as long as they’re adults). And don’t skimp on your captions. Keep them short but make sure viewers know what they’re looking at.
As always, photos must be of one of the three UW campuses or of activities sponsored by the University. To submit yours, simply click on the Community Photos tab from our homepage, www.uweek.org then click on “submit your photo.” You will be asked to register; then you can upload your photos. Any photo submitted during the following time periods is eligible to win:
No more than five entries per person please. Winners will be featured in University Week. |
