Save the date: Emmert to be feted Sept. 27
The UW community is invited to a special Farewell Celebration for President Mark Emmert, who is leaving to become head of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
The celebration will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, by Drumheller Fountain on Rainier Vista. Emmert will speak, as will Interim President Phyllis Wise and a representative of the Board of Regents. Refreshments will be served and the Husky Band will perform. The program begins at 2:45 p.m.
