UW a ‘Most Engaged’ campus for student voting and among top universities worldwide, ranked by reputation
The University of Washington was No. 24 on the Times Higher Education annual reputation ranking, released Wednesday. The UW moved up from No. 28 on last year’s list and remains No. 4 among U.S. public institutions.
This ranking lists the top 200 universities and is determined by a survey of academics who cast votes on the “most prestigious” schools, according to their reputation for research and teaching. The survey is invitation only among top scholars globally who name no more than 15 universities that they believe are the best in their field.
More about the list methodology can be found here.
The UW also was recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge as a 2022 ALL IN Most Engaged Campuses for College Student Voting. The organization highlighted the work the UW did in 2022 to institutionalize nonpartisan democratic engagement and increase student voter turnout.
