Visiting Faculty Housing Service to close
The Visiting Faculty Housing Service which finds housing for visiting faculty and staff will be closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 6 for the holiday season. The VFHS is located in Cunningham Hall, room 213.

Surplus Property Sale, Auction
Surplus property and equipment released by UW departments will be available for purchase by the general public at the Surplus Property public store Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7 and at an auction Saturday, Dec. 7. Bidding for the auction items will begin at 10 a.m.; Previewing can be done Friday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the day of the sale. All bidders must be registered before the bidding starts. Registration can be done during the preview hours.

General auction items include a sterilmatic, fermentor, centrifuges, sub-zero freezer, fume hoods, lab carts and equipment, electronic racks, Hobart buffalo choppers, 3 door refrigerator, scales, kitchen equipment, cabinets with glass doors, projectors, and audio-visual equipment. A complete catalog will be available at time of registration and will be available on the Surplus Web site on Dec. 6.

The UW Surplus Public Store will be open Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.. Public store items typically include computers, printers, desks, file cabinets and chairs.
