Packing the Dog

Dr. Milo Gibaldi, who came to the UW as dean of the School of Pharmacy in 1978, is leaving after this quarter to move to the Chicago area. He will be teaching at the Chicago College of Pharmacy and continuing his research on pharmacokinetics, how drugs work in the body. After stepping down from the deanship in 1995, Gibaldi has continued to teach and present his popular Drug Therapy Group seminars. He has also been a leader in both UW and national advisory groups and is one of only a few pharmacists elected to the Institute of Medicine.Although he is 65, he said he was not ready to retire, but wanted to be closer to family members in Chicago.
