Student art on display at retirement residence

Visually Speaking: MFA and BFA Student Artworks, curated by Charlotte Beall, opens June 22 and runs through Oct. 13 at University House at Wallingford retirement community, 4400 Stone Way North.

This exhibition offers fresh perspectives and artistic explorations from 18 visual artists from three different schools. Master of Fine Arts students from the UW who are participating in the show include Michael Cepress, Timothy Brown, Christopher Carter, Stephanie Pierce, Carly Slone, Kimberly Trowbridge, Shane Walsh, Elysha Diaz, and Tivon Rice.

The art includes paintings, sculpture and multimedia work. Viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, and the exhibit is free to the public. For more information, contact University House at Wallingford at 206-545-8400.
