Bridge comment period extended
The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) on the SR520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Project comment period has been extended to Oct. 31.
The Evergreen Point Bridge is nearing the end of its useful life and will be replaced by structures that are less vulnerable to damage by storms or earthquakes.
The Draft EIS includes a four-lane alternative, a six-lane alternative , and multiple design options for the six-lane alternative. One of the options would include a new interchange near the Arboretum with a second bridge crossing over UW property to an expanded intersection at Montlake Blvd and Pacific St.
