Conference at Kane honors Midgal

A conference this week honors Joel Migdal, recipient of the Marsha L. Landolt Distinguished Graduate Menotor Award, by showcasing the role of graduate education at the UW. “Policy from the Grassroots: How Social Forces Shackle and Transform Policymakers” will include case studies from more than 15 countries presented by Migdal’s current and former graduate students as well as a roundtable discussion on graduate education.

The conference will be on Sunday, Feb. 25, and Monday, Feb. 26, in 220 and 225 Kane. The program begins at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, contact Tamara Leonard at 206-685-2354 or email tleonard@u.washington.edu.
