Terra cotta gets repaired

A Turner Construction worker labors high above Red Square on the face of Suzzallo Library repairing finials and other terra cotta that was damaged in last year’s earthquake. According to Assistant Director of Libraries Paula Walker, the California company that made the terra cotta for the library back in the 1920s is still in business and made the replacement pieces, which were shipped to campus for installation.
