Totem of generosity
George Snyder, a 1931 graduate of what was then the UW’s aeronautical engineering program, was on hand Tuesday to donate this totem pole to the University. It is hanging on the wall in the entry to Guggenheim Hall. Tuesday’s gift continued a tradition of generosity toward the UW by Snyder and his late wife Anita, who have endowed a $100,000 scholarship and given other monetary gifts.
