Pursuant to the provisions of WAC 197-11-510 and WAC 478-324-140, the University of Washington hereby provides public notice of the:
AVAILABILITY OF A DRAFT SUPPLEMENTAL* ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (SEIS)
Project Name: Husky Stadium Renovation
Proponent: University of Washington
Description: Demolition and reconstruction of the lower bowl and south stands; relocation of the existing track; development of a new approximately 70,000 square-foot football operations support building to be integrated into the west end zone; implementation of premium seat program located primarily in the new south stands with suites (25 plus presidents box); loges (25), club seats (2,555 and the Don James Center (756) located in the existing north stands; remove track and lower the field by 4 feet to optimize proximity and sight lines and to eliminate any view-obstructed seats; construction of approximately 200 parking spaces below the south side stands and achieve sustainable LEED initiatives and ADA accessibility.
Location: University of Washington Seattle Campus, east campus, 3800 Mountlake Blvd NE. The site is bounded by the Lake Washington Ship Canal on the south; Mountlake Blvd NE on the west; Hec Edmundson Pavilion on the north and the Womens Softball Field, the Outdoor Practice Facility and Lake Washington on the east.

Applications invited
The Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute invites applications from University of Washington researchers for its Small Grants research awards. Proposed research must be in alcohol or drug abuse – related fields. The maximum amount considered for funding is $30,000 for faculty and research scientists. The funding limit for predoctoral students and postdoctoral fellows is $20,000.
The next application deadline is 5 p.m., March 15. Questions concerning the application process or suitability of a potential project should be directed to the Institute at 543 – 0937.
