Orthodontics residents showcase wire-bending talents

Each year, first-year residents in the Department of Orthodontics showcase their wire-bending talents in an artistic competition. First-year orthodontic residents are required to enter a sculpture. They are judged in three categories: aesthetics, innovativeness, and technical difficulty. Each category is judged and a prize is given to the sculpture with the most overall votes. This year’s winners were Jason Goltz, Mike Thurman, and Jeff Hyde. Goltz received the most overall votes and a gift certificate to the University Book Store.
