Staffer plans UW stair climb for charity Jan. 17

UW staff member GregRobin Smith will climb the 25 steps between Kane Hall and the Odegaard Undergraduate Library as many times as he can from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 — for a good cause.

Smith hopes to raise awareness and funds for the Washington/Alaska chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and to get people to sign up for a much larger climb, the society’s Big Climb of the Columbia Center planned for March.

Smith invites people to stop by and climb a few flights with him (he hopes to scale the staircase at least 200 times), to donate to the society and to sign up for the Big Climb.
