‘Jazz on a Summer’s Day’ at the Henry

It’s cool to combine jazz and art, and that’s what’s happening from noon to 1 p.m. today in the Henry Art Gallery Sculpture Court. And then again on Aug. 14 and again on Sept. 11.

The name of the series says it all: Jazz on a Summer’s Day, and it’s sponsored by the Henry and the School of Music. The Henry invites the campus community to grab a lunch at the Baci Café, take a table under the James Turrell Skyspace and enjoy some jazz from some talented young artists.

Today at noon, Ivan Arteaga will be on sax and Jared Borkowski on guitar, and the two will return for the Aug. 14 session as well. On Sept. 11 the Colin Pulkrabek Quintet will play.
