Fellowships for Canadian study come to UW

The Killam Fellowships Program, which is based in Ottawa, has expanded to the western United States, and the UW is one of the first partner institutions.

Lucas Olson, a student in international studies and economics, and Reva Robinson, an honors student in linguistics, have been awarded the first two UW fellowships. The program enables two to four UW students per year to study at a Canadian partner institution for a semester or an academic year. The fellowships are worth up to $10,000 and include health care benefits. Olson will study at the University of Victoria this fall and Robinson will study at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
