Coffee talk.
Journalist Mark Pendergrast, author of Uncommon Grounds: The History of Coffee and How It Transformed Our World, opens the new lecture series “Coffee: From the Grounds Up” offering a sweeping overview of coffee’s impact on the world since its discovery on Ethiopian mountainsides. Complementary to the Burke Museum’s exhibit Coffee: The World in Your Cup, which runs until Sept. 7.
