Authors to appear at UWB as part of literary series

The UW Bothell’s Writing for Their Lives literary series continues in April with authors Danny Snelson and Paul Collins.

Snelson will appear at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 6, in the Library, room 205. His recent works include Dear Countess and The Book of Raveling Women. He is an activist and writer living in Brooklyn, NY, and is an esteemed writer at UbuWeb and Penn Sound.

Collins will appear at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, also in the Library, room 205. He is the author of six books of creative non-fiction, including Banvard’s Folly, Sixpence House and The Trouble with Tom — a travelogue of the posthumous travels of Thomas Paine. His work has appeared in McSweeny’s, The Believer and The Village Voice. He is also an assistant professor at Portland State University.

At the events, the authors will present their work and participate in a Q & A with the audience. The public is invited to attend. For additional information, contact the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Program, 425-352-5350.

The Writing For Their Lives series is part of the Initiative for Creativity, Performance and Research, funded by a UW Bothell Worthington Academic Distinction grant. It is also generously supported by Barbara and Kent Chaplin of Chaplin’s Automotive Group.
