Arborteum’s annual plant sale to be April 24 and 25

The Arboretum Foundation’s annual FlorAbundance Spring Plant Sale, the region’s largest plant sale, returns to Building 30 of the Warren G. Magnuson Park Special Events Center on Saturday, April 24, and Sunday, April 25. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

As always, dozens of top specialty nurseries and vendors will be on hand selling a wide selection of choice, locally-grown plants, from ornamental trees to tasty edibles. Notable this year:

  • Great groundcovers—hostas, anemones, ferns, epimediums, heucheras, primroses, sempervivums, and more.
  • An expanded collection of woodland plants, such as terrestrial orchids, polygonatum, and lilacs.
  • A great selection of vegetables and herbs—it’s an El Nino year, so let’s get adventurous!
  • Some great tomato surprises, including delicious heirlooms and new sweet cherry varieties.
  • Variegated cat grass—pamper your garden as well as your pets!
  • And much more.

Parking and admission are free. The sale benefits Washington Park Arboretum. For more information, go to www.arboretumfoundation.org or call 206-325-4510.
