Biomedical informatics expert Daniel Masys to give 2010 Annual Science in Medicine Lecture April 29
Dr. Daniel R. Masys, professor of biomedical informatics and medicine, and chair of biomedical informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, will give the 2009-10 Annual Science in Medicine Lecture. The Science in Medicine lecture series, sponsored by the UW School of Medicine and its office of Research and Graduate Education, looks at how basic research improves the clinical understanding of health and disease.
The title of his lecture is “Genome-Phenome Correlation Using Healthcare-Derived Biospecimens and Phenotypes Derived from Electronic Medical Records.” The lecture is free and open to all interested persons. No registration is required.
The lecture will take place from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, April 29, A-420, Hogness Auditorium, UW Health Sciences Building.
