‘Guitar Ensemble: To the Beatles and Beyond’ May 14

Students of Michael Partington will present music highlighting the intersection of classical and popular music, and the influence of folk traditions, in a program titled Guitar Ensemble: To the Beatles and Beyond. The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 14, in Brechemin Auditorium.

The progam will include music from or inspired by Africa, Argentina, Indonesia, Spain, Turkey, Wales — and of course Liverpool, England. The students will be joined by special guests Annika Donnen (viola), Yong Kim (clarinet) and Chung-Lin Lee (flute).
