Henry Art Gallery offers tours for faculty, staff
Got a half-hour for some great art? Try spending it at the Henry Art Gallery.
The Henry is inviting faculty and staff to visit and learn about its exhibitions in three lunchtime tours at noon on Jan. 18, Feb. 22 and March 14.
Exhibition guides will focus on a selection of objects and use visual thinking techniques to prompt lively discussion during the tours, museum notes say. You can gather colleagues and go as a group, or stop by on your own.
Each tour will focus on a different exhibition.
- Wednesday, January 18: A tour of Videowatercolors: Carel Balth Among His Contemporaries, “exploring the intersections between photography, paintng and new media.”
- Wednesday, February 22: A tour of Around the Bend and Over the Edge: Seattle Ceramics 1964 to 1976, showing ceramics culled from the Henry collection.
- Wednesday, March 14: A tour of Sopheap Pich: Compound, a city-like installation in rattan and bamboo.
To reserve a space in the upcoming tours, RSVP online. Learn more about the Henry and its programs online.
