University of Washington Campus Master Plan meetings Nov. 16

News and Information

The University of Washington is hosting two Campus Master Plan public meetings on Nov. 16, to gather ideas on its preliminary planning concepts concerning open space, circulation and development of the Seattle campus from 2002 to 2012.

The workshops will be held from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. in room 200, Husky Union Building, and from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in room 209, University Heights Community Center. Each meeting will begin with a presentation by the Campus Master Plan project team. Following the presentation, the meeting will break into a workshop format so participants can assist planners in further developing the planning process.

This is the beginning of the scoping process for the Environmental Impact Statement. The process includes an examination of issues such as land use, housing, energy, aesthetics, transportation, recreation, air quality and population.

For more information, call 206-221-4183 or e-mail masterpl@u.washington.edu.

The workshops are cosponsored by the UW and the City/University Community Advisory Committee.
