Christie Hegermiller is a coastal oceanographer who studies erosion and flooding dynamics at both storm and climate-change timescales. Her research focuses on the Pacific Northwest, California, and U.S. East Coast coastlines. She uses a range of techniques to understand the coastal ocean, including high-fidelity numerical models, reduced complexity models and field observations.
