Kathy Troost is a senior lecturer and research scientist with the Department of Earth & Space Sciences. She is the Director of GeoMapNW, a group that has produced highly detailed geological maps that help city planners, builders and homeowners better understand the geology of a particular site. She works closely with numerous state and federal agencies, including the United States Geologic Survey, Washington Department of Natural Resources and King County.
