Kira Schabram is an assistant professor of management and organization. Her research examines how employees can make a positive difference through their work in ways big and small without sacrificing themselves in the process. She is particularly interested in employee sustainability in the changing landscape of work and has studied these questions in diverse contexts ranging from professional athletes to animal shelter employees to traditional white collar work. Schabram has received numerous awards for her research and teaching including the University of Washington Distinguished Teaching Award, the university’s highest honor available to faculty, and being named among Poets & Quants “Favorite Business Professors.” Her work is published in outlets such as the Harvard Business Review, BBC, CNN, Forbes, the Financial Times, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
