Earthquakes
Expertise: Seismicity, seismic wave propagation and aftershock probabilities in the Pacific Northwest; earthquake sources; earthquake early warning system
Paul Bodin studies earthquakes and their effects, in part with the goal of trying to mitigate their consequences, and in part with the goal of trying to understand the physics that govern their occurrence. He is the former manager of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) — the authoritative source for information about active seismicity in the states of Oregon and Washington.
