Expertise: AI and religion, religion and gender, internet dating for LGBTQ+ Christians, what it means to be human in relation to AI

In addition to teaching, Wes King is a faculty scholar for the Carl G. Grefenstette Center for Ethics in Science, Technology and Law. King also works with scholars, entrepreneurs, and faith leaders at AI and Faith to understand how the fundamental values of the world’s major religions show up in the emerging debates on the ethical development of artificial intelligence and related technologies. They are currently involved in ethnographic research to understand the culture of AI and faith, the contexts in which religious people and organizations use AI technologies, and the ways humans have faith in AI technologies.
