I went to the UW from 1978-80, as a graduate student, and returned in 1984 for my dissertation year. I received my Ph.D. degree in June 1985. I went to Seattle, a long way from my home in Puerto Rico, to complete graduate studies. I was a political science professor at Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and retired there in 2000 after 25 years. My experience at the UW was great, wonderful people, teachers, students and administrators. I tell friends and students of the great university that is there. I am a lifetime member of the Alumni Association and keep in touch with other friends there. I wish the Office of Minority Affairs the best in the hard task of helping others. My thanks to you and the staff for the support I received whenever I stopped there during those years long ago. Ciao!
