Students, educators and administrators interested in learning how the new REAL Hope Act will be implemented are invited to attend an informational forum on Tues., March 18, from 4-6 p.m. at the Alder Hall Auditorium on the University of Washington Seattle campus.
The REAL (Raising Educational Access, Changing Lives) Hope Act, Senate Bill 6523, was signed into law by Washington Governor Jay Inslee on Feb. 26 and extends state need grant funds to undocumented students to help pay for college.
Representatives from the UW Office of Student Financial Aid, Washington State Achievement Council and Latino/a Educational Achievement Program will present information and resources to help students and educators understand the application process for this financial aid.
A networking reception will immediately follow the forum at the Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center, located across the street from Alder Hall.
