In April UW ETS high school students from Marysville, Mount Vernon and Sedro-Woolley had the opportunity to tour UW Seattle. While exploring campus they met with study skills instructors from the OMA/D Instructional Center, staff from the Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center, current UW college students, and an instructor from the College of Computer Science & Engineering, where they received an engaging tour of the CSE building. To soak in a bit of college life, students toured actual dorm rooms and indulged at the McMahon Hall cafeteria for lunch. Besides the food, what did students love most about their UW experience? They answered, “The graduate library reading room in Suzzallo Library”, where they could imagine themselves studying in one day.
