The Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity (OMA&D) introduced new students and their families to the UW at its annual orientation event, Welcome Daze, on Sept. 25, at the Husky Union Building.
Held in conjunction with UW’s Dawg Daze, Welcome Daze provided opportunities for incoming freshmen and transfer students to learn about campus and community resources, as well as connect with current students, OMA&D staff and UW administrators. Festivities included lunch, a welcome program with remarks from UW Interim President Ana Mari Cauce and Interim Vice President and Vice Provost for Minority Affairs & Diversity Gabriel Gallardo, entertainment, raffle prizes and a resource fair.
