Washington MESA, housed in the UW Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity, and Washington STEM received a $400,000 grant to launch an Engineering Fellows Program. This program, funded by the national STEM education group 100Kin10, will pair engineers with 200 fifth grade teachers throughout the state to equip them with the skills required to offer engineering programs in their own classrooms.
