OMA&D staff and other campus colleagues gathered at the UW Club on July 26 to thank Dr. Gabriel Gallardo for his service as the interim vice president for minority affairs and vice provost for diversity since last August.
Gallardo, who has worked in various leadership capacities with OMA&D for over 18 years, will return to his role as associate vice president for student services and academic support when Rickey Hall begins his tenure as VP on August 1.
Members of the OMA&D leadership team presented Gallardo, who earned bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in geography from the UW, with a globe signed by colleagues.
