Each year the Husky Leadership Initiative hosts a Fireside Chat series that engages students in conversations with a range of civic, corporate and campus leaders in an informal setting.
Thanks to a partnership with HLI to recognize OMA&D’s 50th anniversary, the 2018 winter quarter series, “Lighting the Way,” featured five influential alumni who were impacted by OMA&D programs or served as champions of diversity, equity and inclusion during their time at the UW.
Franklin Donahoe, Sumona Das Gupta, Jaebadiah Gardner, Magdalena Fonseca and Dr. Anita Johnson-Connell shared their stories, offered advice and answered questions from the student audience during their sessions.
Audio recordings from three of these alumni can be found on the Undergraduate Academic Affairs web site. Many thanks to UAA Digital Media Producer Bryan Nakata for also providing the photos below.
