In light of public health guidelines and after thoughtful consideration for the health and wellness of our community, we are canceling OMA&D’s signature annual gala, Celebration and will recognize our students and the Odegaard recipient on May 12, 2021. While deeply disappointing, this preventative action allows our community to avoid communal contact and ensures that all those who have been looking forward to this event will be able to do so at a future date.

Celebration features the outstanding achievements, inspiring stories and academic success of our students. As the UW’s signature event to support diversity, Celebration also raises funds for Educational Opportunity Program scholarships and recognizes the Charles E. Odegaard Award recipient. We create connections within our community of corporate partners, individuals, philanthropists, sovereign nations and with our students. By celebrating the Odegaard Award recipient, we honor an inspirational community member who is an example to us all.
