Vice President for Minority Affairs & Diversity and Chief Diversity Officer Rickey Hall has offered the following response:
“I am deeply disappointed by the actions taken today to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. I know there are still many questions to be answered over the next six months; however, I am hopeful that Congressional leaders will do what is necessary so that UW DACA recipients – and the other hundreds of thousands of young people affected – can continue to realize their dreams here in the United States. For those who are affected, please know that we recognize the value that you bring and we will do all that we can to ensure you are able to continue to be positive contributors to our communities. As UW President Ana Mari Cauce stated, we stand with you.”
