OMA&D Congratulates EOP Alumnae Lauren J. King (Muscogee) on her selection as a federal judge to the U.S. District Court, Western Washington. Judge King is the first Native American appointed to the court in Washington state, and only one of four American Indian federal judges in the country. King makes the third EOP alum to earn the distinction of serving on a federal bench for the Western Washington U.S. District Court. The other two include the Hon. Ricardo Martinez and the Hon. Jamal Whitehead. Judge Martinez was the first Latino judge in the Western District of Washington serving as Chief Judge for the court.
