Navon Morgan, ’23
Director, Black Student Commission
If there’s a campus event put on by a Black student organization, you’ll find Navon Morgan, ’23, mingling with the crowd. As director of the UW’s Black Student Commission, Morgan helps the organizations get the funding they need to attract new members and create meaningful events in February and throughout the year. In celebration of Black History Month, the University of Washington salutes Morgan’s commitment to uplifting the voices of Black students and advocating for campuswide reforms that speak to their needs.
“I do this for the people who I know feel alienated, who feel unsafe and the most forgotten. That’s my passion, and that’s who I work for.”
