What is the S.M.A.R.T. Challenge?
The purpose of the S.M.A.R.T. Challenge is to engage Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity (OMA&D) Freshmen and Sophomore students in activities that promote academic, experiential, and social excellence. The S.M.A.R.T. Challenge is not a “contest,” but a new way of thinking about how to study and interact with peers to effectively achieve long-term educational and career goals. Students are most apt to meet their goals by working together with classmates, professors, instructors, advisors, and program staff.
