Peer Groups

The University of Washington currently uses the U.S. News Top-25 Public Research Institutions as its primary peer comparison group. Several peer comparison groups have been used by the University of Washington in the past. The efforts of Washington Learns led to the creation of the Global Challenge State Peer Institutions (GCS Peers). Two peer groups developed prior to the GCS peers: the Higher Education Coordinating Board Peer Group (HECB Peer Group) and the Office of Financial Management Peer Group (OFM Peer Group).

Peer Comparison Reports

Many peer comparison dashboards are available to UW staff through UW Profiles (select the “Peer Comparisons” tag to filter to the 12 peer comparisons dashboards). Some peer comparisons have not yet been built out into dashboards. Static versions of those comparisons are listed below.
