Same safety escort service, new name: Husky SafeTrip
The University of Washington Police Department has changed the name of its nighttime safety escort service from Husky NightWalk to Husky SafeTrip. The switch is to help students, faculty and staff better understand the program, which is a safe ride with a UWPD security guard, not a walk.
Your students can use Husky SafeTrip to get a safe ride home on or near campus with a UW Police Department security guard, from 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily (except University holidays or when campus operations are suspended).
To request a ride from campus to a residence, parking lot or public transit stop within the service area, students should call 206-685-9255.

Husky students use UW’s NightRide service
Did you know that your Husky can get service to their door with NightRide, UW’s nighttime shuttle? It’s a free, safe and an easy way for your Husky to get around campus when it’s dark and cold — the service is running Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with extended hours before finals. Hear from students about their experiences riding NightRide.
Maps, schedules, app information and more are all available on the NightRide website.
Your Husky can track shuttle locations and see stop and schedule information: East zone shuttles, West zone shuttles.
Encourage your Husky to download the mobile app, available for iOS and Android.
