Under federal Title IV regulation 34 CFR § 668.43(a)(5)(v), the University of Washington is required to disclose “if an educational program is designed to meet educational requirements for a specific professional license or certification that is required for employment in an occupation, or is advertised as meeting such requirements.” For such programs, the UW is required to provide to prospective and enrolled students “a list of all States where the institution has determined…that the program does and does not meet such requirements.”
The UW programs below, categorized by campus, lead to state licensure or certification in their respective field. The links to each program include information about whether it meets the education requirements for licensure or certification in a given state or territory. As certification and licensure requirements vary by jurisdiction and over time, students should be proactive and contact the appropriate licensing agency for the most current information.
