Much of PSO’s work happens in committees and work groups. We also have a representative on each Faculty Council Committee. Current Standing Committees are: Communications, Scholarship and Professional Development, Finance, Legislative, Outreach and Membership Engagement, and Special Events.
Work groups are temporary committees focused on specific PSO efforts. Current work groups are Elections and Governance.
Any professional staff member may participate in PSO’s committees and work groups. Representation on University Faculty Councils is limited to active PSO Board Members. Participating on a committee is an excellent way to network with your peers in other departments and practice your leadership skills while contributing to the quality of work life at the UW.
