Readers are leaders!
Real Dawgs Read is a summer reading program developed for K-8, Title I schools in Washington state. There is no cost to schools or participants (postage is covered); it is simply a way to incent students to read over the summer. Participants read at least 20 minutes a day on 30 separate days to earn a Husky reward and reading certificate.
To give this program wider reach, we’ve made some changes for 2024. Printed journals will be available to only Title I elementary schools that opt in, and those have been shipped to participating schools. If you are a Title I elementary school principal and want to participate next year, email us to make sure we have your current contact information.
Any K-8 Washington state student may participate online, through this website. If you are with a school that wants to promote the online program, feel free to distribute this flyer to your students.
