Read (at least) 20 minutes a day on 30 separate days and you will earn a Husky reward!
Ready to begin? You must download the journal BEFORE you start reading. Only official Real Dawgs Read journals will be accepted (no home-made journals). After you have performed the required reading, your parent/guardian will need to complete the form below so we know where to send your reading certificate and reward.
When you’re finished, come back to this page and have your parent/guardian complete the form below.
STEP 1
Get the Reading Journal before you start reading
When you are ready to begin, download the interactive reading journal below. You can type in the blue boxes or you can print the journal and fill it out by hand. Use it to record your reading EACH DAY that you read; don’t record reading that occurred in the past or the future.

Read 30 separate days
Books, comic books, magazines, newspapers — YOU choose. Read alone, read aloud, read with friends, have someone read to you. Just read, and you’ll be dressed like a Dawg in no time!
STEP 3
Read at least 20 minutes
each day
Record your minutes in your Reading Journal

All finished?
Congratulations! Have your parent/guardian email a photo, scan or pdf of your completed journal to realdawgs@uw.edu. Then fill out the form below so we know where to send your certificate and reward.
