Export Control Classification Numbers ECCN

An Export Control Classification Number is a numeric designator assigned to goods by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Each ECCN consists of identifiers for the category, product group, type of controls, and to differentiate between multilateral and unilateral controls.
